Choose the part of remote development you need
DashVox joins voice interaction to coding sessions on a remote machine. Alternatives differ in whether they supply the coding agent, host the development project, or simply expose an SSH terminal. Start with the environment where your repository and credentials already live, then decide how much visual review you need on a phone.
| Option | Best fit | Main distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Claude Code | Direct agent work | Terminal, IDE, web and mobile interfaces |
| Replit | Hosted mobile development | Projects, Agent and publishing in one service |
| Termius | Direct remote terminal access | SSH connections and host management |
Claude Code for direct coding-agent interaction
Claude Code is a close choice when the main requirement is asking an agent to investigate a repository, edit code and run checks. Anthropic documents terminal, IDE, web and mobile entry points. It avoids adding a separate voice-control service when one of those interfaces already suits the task.
Check which execution environment each interface uses and how its permissions work. A mobile coding session is not automatically control of your existing development machine. Claude Code access is included in paid Claude plans, with usage conditions to review for the intended workload.
Replit for building and publishing from a phone
Replit fits someone who wants the development project hosted alongside the agent. Its official mobile documentation covers creating and editing projects, chatting with Agent and publishing to the web. Voice input can describe a requested change without typing a long prompt.
The important tradeoff is environment ownership: this is a Replit project workflow, rather than a general interface to a machine you already administer. Review included credits and usage billing, and check the documented platform restrictions before planning native mobile-app work.
Termius for direct SSH control
Termius is suitable when you want a conventional remote terminal on iOS, Android or desktop. Host organization and key management support repeated connections to existing infrastructure. It is particularly useful for reading exact output and entering commands yourself.
That workflow still requires attention to the terminal rather than spoken supervision of coding agents. Compare the free and paid feature sets for synchronization and team needs. For any option, use a small development task to assess reconnect behavior, permissions and review quality before allowing consequential changes.
