Meshy is an AI 3D model creation platform. It can turn a text description or reference image into a model and offers tools for textures and downstream use. It is useful for exploring an asset before spending time on a detailed manual model.
For a game prop, start with a clear description of shape, material and intended use. Inspect the silhouette from several angles, then import the export into the application that will use it. Check scale, surfaces and material assignments there. A good preview is less useful than an asset that fits the actual scene.
Generated geometry may need cleanup before production. For printing, inspect the model in a slicer and check whether thin parts and surfaces are suitable for the printer. Do not assume every generated object is ready for manufacture simply because a downloadable file is available.
A free plan and paid subscriptions are available. Credits, download allowances and rights differ by plan; review them before using an asset commercially.
