Freeletics is an AI training coach built around bodyweight and minimal-equipment workouts: HIIT, calisthenics, running and strength. You rate each session and the plan adjusts. 60 million users, 700+ exercises, works in a living room or a hotel.

Freeletics made its name on a hard promise: get properly fit with your bodyweight and a few square meters of floor. The AI Coach is the engine. It builds your plan, then after every session asks how it went. Too hard, and the next one backs off. Too easy, and it turns the screw. That feedback loop, multiplied across what the company says is 60 million users and 450 million completed sessions, is the product.

The training menu is wider than the calisthenics reputation suggests: HIIT, strength work, running, intervals, and gym plans if you do have equipment. There are more than 700 exercises in the pool, and the marketing claims "4 trillion workout combinations," which is a silly number but points at something true — no two people's plans look alike, and yours changes when your life does. Moving house, traveling, dropping to twenty-minute sessions: you tell the Coach, it rebuilds.

Where it shines

Consistency for busy people. The workouts need no setup, the sessions fit into lunch breaks, and the difficulty tracking keeps you in the zone where it's hard but doable. That last part matters more than any exercise selection. It's also the rare app here with a meaningful free tier: single workouts without the Coach cost nothing, so you can feel the style before paying for the adaptive plan.

Where it doesn't

Serious barbell strength isn't the game here. If your goal is a bigger squat, Fitbod or JuggernautAI fit better. Nutrition lives in a separate app (Freeletics sells a bundle), and the boot-camp tone of some programs isn't for everyone.

Bottom line

The best pick on this list for training anywhere with nothing. People who travel, people with small flats, people allergic to gym memberships: this was built for you.
